He started playing the piano and organ for The North 8th Street Church of God, in Reading, PA, at the age of 10 and was directing the adult choir by age 13.  He accepted his call to the preaching   ministry at age 14.  Through his singing talent, he received a full scholarship at the Curtis Institute of Music, as a voice major, at age seventeen. At age 19, he moved to Los Angeles, CA, and joined First Church of God, Inglewood, CA, where he served in various capacities, musically and eventually on the pastoral staff.

Derrick O. Williams

Producer, songwriter, musician, and studio engineer has owned and operated a Christian recording studio for over 10 years in the Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland metropolitan area.  In his early years before coming to Christ and living in Cleveland, Ohio, Derrick O. Williams briefly worked and performed with Gerald Levert as a bass guitarist and has played with local jazz groups performing in the Cleveland contemporary jazz circuit.  After moving to the Washington DC metropolitan area and accepting Christ, Derrick has devoted his Musical gifts back to his creator JESUS CHRIST.  Derrick has played on praise and worship teams for over 10 years; this along with his love for gospel music has enabled him to stay on the cutting edge of gospel music production.  His love for God, dedication to being a disciple, and keeping an intimate walk with Jesus has kept his spiritual ears in tune with what GOD wants to say in today’s gospel music.  Coming from a family of multiple musicians and singers & his mother being a church pianist, Derrick had his start in gospel at an early age in his family gospel group the Williams trio.  This gospel production ministry is a mandate from God on Derrick’s life and GOD has done miracles in developing this ministry for such a time as this.  Derrick has been married for 20 years to his wife and help mate, Vanessa Williams and has 3 wonderful children, Derrick A., Alana Melanie (deceased), and Daniel Williams.
